The Academic Program focuses on teaching the English Language within a Technical Context and the curriculum is built around a series of published texts, including Tech Talk and the Technical English series.

SOFT SKILLS COURSE
Employability is more than the necessary qualifications, technical skills, or knowledge in a particular field.
It is a training program initiated at the request of our sponsoring companies. The program is tailored to address graduates’ needs as they transition into the professional stage of their careers. It focuses on equipping trainees with the soft skills and work ethics necessary to start their new jobs.
Employability is more than the necessary qualifications, technical skills, or knowledge in a particular field. Employees also need transferable core skills and appropriate attitudes to participate effectively in the workplace and fulfill their potential throughout their careers. These core skills (often called ‘soft skills’) include social skills, higher-level thinking skills, and personal and emotional skills.
This program development strategy was conceptualized with the primary objectives of:
- Bridging the skills gap among young Saudis.
- Changing perceptions about careers in the energy sector.
- Fostering a sense of ownership and pride in contributing to a sector that is pivotal to the nation’s economy.
- Preparing young Saudi graduates for their future employment.
Course Topics
During their first year at EnergyTech, trainees will receive weekly lessons on employability skills. These courses will include site visits to the trainees’ future work sites and regular meetings with employers. These activities aim to expose trainees to the work environment early in their training and ensure that they are equipped with the necessary skills for employment.
Customers Feedback
Line managers in sponsoring companies have indicated that our employability program is having a direct impact on the trainee’s transition from college into the workplace and that employees have the right expectations and are much more satisfied at work.
