Under the patronage and honor of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Governor of the Eastern Province, and in the presence and honor of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Minister of Energy, EnergyTech celebrated its 13th Graduation Ceremony, held at the Green Hall in Dammam Sports City.
The ceremony was attended by EnergyTech Chairman and Board of Trustees, along with elite leaders and senior executives from prominent energy companies in the region.
The ceremony celebrated the graduation of over 3,000 male & female trainees from the diploma program, ending with employment, sponsored by 51 prominent energy companies, amid the joy of over 3,000 family members, who attended to celebrate their graduating sons and daughters. These graduates are now ready to join the local workforce. Their contribution to the energy sector will enrich the industry while boosting the nationalization rates.
The event included the graduation of 136 engineers from ACT-Eng., reinforcing EnergyTech’s position as a premier training center for the petrochemical sector.
HRH Prince Saud bin Nayef Al-Saud bin Abdulaziz and HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz officially inaugurated EnergyTech’s strategic expansion projects across the Eastern and Western regions to empower national talents and support the energy and industrial sectors. These projects include:
1. Dammam Expansion Project
This major strategic step aims to establish the region’s largest specialized training hub for energy, industry, and advanced technologies. The project seeks to increase the Institute’s capacity to accommodate 7000 trainees and comprehensively upgrade its infrastructure by establishing advanced classrooms, labs, and specialized centers of excellence in mining, renewable energy, artificial intelligence, engineering, and industry and construction.
2. Western Region Institute
The Western Region Institute, established through a joint venture between the Ministry of Energy and the Technical & Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC), with EnergyTech leading and operating the institution. This branch meets the demands of rapid industrial growth in the Western Province, particularly as projections indicate an increase in job opportunities in the renewable energy, hydrogen, and petrochemical sectors by 2030.
3. Firefighting and Survival Center in collaboration with RelyOn
This strategic collaboration is now being executed to integrate the Institute’s regional infrastructure expertise with RelyOn’s advanced technologies and global safety expertise. This scalable platform aims to elevate the competence of national cadres according to the highest international standards, supporting the region’s goals in energy transition and long-term industrial growth.
During the ceremony, training agreements were signed with 14 leading energy-sector companies to train and develop 3,728 male and female trainees. The companies included: STAR, Bin Quraya Group, Larsen & Toubro Arabia, Larsen & Toubro Arabia LLC, Al-Rushaid Construction Co. Ltd., Expertise, C.A.T. International Limited, Denys Arabia Ltd., Samsung Saudi Arabia, Arabian Castles for General Contracting, Inma Steel Fabricators Co. Ltd., Target Engineering Construction Saudi Arabia, SATORP, and Majan Construction Company Ltd.
EnergyTech also signed a collaboration agreement with the Supreme Authority of Industrial Security (SAIS) to strengthen integration across industrial security fields, develop training and qualification programs that empower national talent, and enhance the readiness of the security, safety, and fire protection sector.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, C.A.T. Group, Banque Saudi Fransi, and Bin Quraya Holding Group were honored for sponsoring the event. Special thanks were also extended to Dallah Hospital, the Medical Sponsor, and Shrq Coffee Roasters, the Hospitality Sponsor.
This ceremony marks an extension of the Institute’s journey since its establishment in 2008 by the Ministry of Energy, the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC), Saudi Arabian Chevron, Saudi Aramco, and Aramco Gulf Operations, with support from the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF). With over 18 years in the energy sector, EnergyTech has contributed to training and employing more than 15,000 national talents, helping shape the sector’s future in the Kingdom.
