The program (SCFD 200) aims to provide the trainee with the knowledge, skills, and practice to perform basic Scaffolding tasks safely. The trainee will have the skills to erect and dismantle tube and coupler scaffolds correctly and safely.
They will also learn the three types of system scaffolds that Saudi Aramco uses and how to check the acceptable condition of system scaffold components. The trainees will know Saudi Aramco’s rules and regulations that meet GI 8.001 “Safety Requirements for Scaffolds.”
The program leads to certificates internationally accredited by ACCET.
Each student will complete the Academic, Basic Hand tools and Drawing foundation training before covering the Program.

Upon completing the program, the graduates will be able to:
- Recognize portable ladders and step ladders.
- Identify portable ladders and step ladder positions.
- Determine the general requirements for system, bracket, and underhung scaffolds and classifications of scaffold loads.
- State the conditions of tube and coupler scaffold components.
- Identify the standard requirements for all scaffolds.
- Distinguish the scaffold’s different types and designs commonly used in Saudi Aramco.
- Determine the different designs of tubes and couplers.
- Name the fittings and components of tube and coupler scaffolds.
- Assess the foundations and clearances for individual scaffolds.
- State the load duty rating for individual types of scaffolds.
- Identify the personal safety equipment for scaffolding and safety practices and procedures for scaffolds
- Name all the personal protective equipment used in scaffolding work.
- State the safety procedures for the erection and dismantling of working platforms.
- State the erection and dismantling procedures for different types of scaffolding.
- Erect and dismantle a light duty / medium duty two bay, two lift independent scaffold as per Saudi Aramco Scaffold Safety Handbook.
- Recognize all system safety practices and procedures.
