Dammam, Saudi Arabia – March 6, 2024 – EnergyTech, a leading institution in technical training for the energy sector, celebrated a landmark moment with its 12th Graduation Ceremony, held under the esteemed patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef Al-Saud, Governor of the Eastern Province, and in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al-Saud, Minister of Energy.
The Green Arena in Dammam Sports City hosted the ceremony that marked a significant milestone for EnergyTech and the Saudi energy sector. The ceremony celebrated the graduation of 1757 trainees, sponsored by 31 prominent energy companies. The training program ended with an employment diploma, and the graduates are now ready to join the local workforce. Their contribution to the energy sector will enrich the industry while boosting the nation’s employment rates.
Notably, this ceremony saw the graduation of the first female cohort, a momentous step towards fulfilling the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 objectives to enhance women’s presence in the energy sector. HRH Prince Saud bin Nayef Al-Saud commended EnergyTech for its pivotal role in equipping Saudi youth with essential technical skills, thus empowering them to contribute to the nation’s development and achieve leadership aspirations.
HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al-Saud emphasized the significance of the graduation ceremony, attributing its success to the dedication of EnergyTech’s trainees, management, and academic and technical teams. He expressed pride in witnessing the first batch of female trainees graduate, highlighting the Kingdom’s commitment to empowering women and advancing societal progress.
Representatives from Aramco, EnergyTech’s founding company, attended the 12th graduation ceremony, including distinguished executive VPs, senior VPs, Vice Presidents, and LWDD management.
The ceremony also featured the signing of key training agreements with industry stakeholders, such as HRDF, Arabian Fal, NMDC, Bin Quraya Group, Star Alrushaid Group, Larsen & Toubro Saudi Arabia LLC, HEISCO, HYUNDAI, and CCC. These designated agreements aimed to develop young Saudi females and males through training ending with employment diploma program. These agreements increase localization efforts in the Kingdom and align with EnergyTech’s mission of supporting the Saudization process.
The ceremony also witnessed the signing of three crucial memorandums of understanding agreements with energy technology company, Baker Hughes to collaborate on developing energy transition initiatives leveraging the Baker Hughes Climate Technology Solutions University program, Sawafi Borets Company for enhancing ESP Expertise and Providing Equipment for EnergyTech, and Saudi Aramco for providing an Unprecedented ESP Certification Verification Program.
These agreements are a testament to EnergyTech’s ambition to lead the energy sector and develop it further by supplying a young and capable workforce that meets the needs of the labor market.
The ceremony also witnessed the honoring of the Saudi Investment Bank, Banque Saudi Fransi, Bin Quraiah Group, and Olayan Group for their generous sponsorship of the ceremony, In addition to Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib as the medical sponsor.
